blackcap?

Hi all, had a new bird in my garden today i think its a Blackcap? but according to my bird book its a summer visitor.

1/ is it a blackcap?

2/ if so whats it doing here? cheers in advance mike.

Yup. Male I had them in my back garden a couple of weeks ago, they do over winter here as well.

2/ They are mainly a summer visitor, but a small (but increasing) number spend the winter in Britain, surviving on berries and food offered in gardens - as this bird is doing

We have them all year round in the garden, the female one has a brown cap
