Blank thumbnails

Hi folks, I have just moved to RAW but I have only 1 problem. I can see my photos in ViewNX2 but in "My pictures" the thumbnails are white blanks. Any idea how I can make them visible? Hope you can help a computer dumbo

MS Windows out the box does not support RAW files.

There is plenty of other viewers that do so it's not a problem normally.

If you do want to use Windows I remember downloading a plugin from the Microsoft site when I was using XP.

I installed the MS raw codec to view NEF files natively in Windows, images are quite slow to load though http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=26829

There's a trial version available also.
