Blood Flower

Hi All, I wanted to get some feed back on this picture that I have taken. I think if anything the pigs blood doesn't look like blood?

Well the flower is blown out and it's certainly not to my taste.

very macabre!!! i really like it, very imaginative. UThe only niggle i have is the white background, it takes detail away from the flower imho

A different backgrounnd colour may have helped to make the flower and blood stand out a bit more, good idea though.

I quite like this one.
A dark background would probably be better to emphasize contrast, but as a high key photo the flower looks more tender.

certainly an alternative approach. The background bothers me less than the fact that your initial comment is correct, the blood is too dark to make you automatically think 'blood', but also, where it touches the petals on the left, its a bit messy, and its the kind of image that cries out for clean dramatic lines for me.
