Hello Everybody

It's high time I got myself a presence on the tinternet!

It's mainly weddings and portraits and the need to have a client proofing section etc.

However, as usual I know very little about the many options out there. I have read the sticky at the top and had a look around the various posts. I nearly went for clikpic then noticed BLUDOMAIN. The templates appear more pro than most. I would very muck like to hear some comments from anyone who cares to help please. Especially like to hear from the people who have experience with them.

My mattmoments site is with them. They built it and host it (you need to work out whether you are going to host with them at extra $$$'s).

Their templates and GUI is slick as and I love them - their websites are seriously easy to work with and view.

The thing I dont love is their customer service - it took nearly 2 weeks before I got my website (a process that should have been automatic and within 24 hours). Some people get them instantly and for others it can take a lot longer - erratic!

If you can handle a slight wait then they are well worth it.

linky it is still very much in its infancy - needs lots more adding to it but you get the idea.

Thanks for that - they do look good their templates don't they. All that for around £250 one off payment!
 
No worries dude.
Dont forget that hosting with them is $100 a year so thats not just a one off!
 
No - point taken - but I think that's not bad value or am I wrong?
 
my website is with them an i have found them excellent, not had any issues with there customer services, very good in my experience. might be worth keeping an eye on there websites as they do have offers on them i picked up a $400 one and hosting for $200 all in. adjusting info and images etc is very simple can recommend them highly enough.
 
Also, have a look at Zenfolio, they have some nice templates too. I have been using them for a little while now and am very happy with the service. They are about to implement a multi-currency model (it's US$ at the mo) within a month or two, and as they can link to PayPal this will be fantastic for selling images online.

The price for the unlimited plan is only $40 per year too... which is extremely good value.

Shout if you decide to go with them as I can get you a further few dollars off that.

Thanks Craig I'll keep a keen eye on their website for the offers - like your site very much. Oh and can you please tell me what you honestly thought of "The Trained Eye" I need to top up my small portfolio and seriously thinking of attending one of their courses.

That's very kind of you John I will look carefully at the details over the weekend.
 
oh, look out for their sales, their $400 sites often go down to $100 over the holidays like Independance Day, New years, Christmas, and whatever they want to celebrate or promote, like the US election last year !

I certainly will Raymondo but, can I wait for another Presidential Election - NO can I wait until Christmas - NO New Year - NO July 4th - maybe :thinking:
