After stripping the 5D down today to get the dust out of the viewfinder :wacky: I went out into the garden and found this little beauty, I'm really pleased because I have never had these in the garden and this one just wasn't bothered at all.
We started off in the grass

Then because it was windy I tried to hold the grass it was on still with my hand, but it decided it felt more at home climbing on my hand :)

Friendly little fella Keith isn't he, excellent detail too, nicely showing the mouth pincers/fangs (y)
 
Great job! I'm jealous, every time I try to take a picture of a damsel it promptly takes off.
I think you have a new pet there. ;)
 
The last one's great Keith....almost looks like a characature/caricature (depends how you like to spell it !)

The eyes have it!

Got some similar shots of the head of one of these myself. Found mine on a windowsill and he was pretty dusty in close up. Yours looks much nicer.
