Are you saving the ICC profile when you save for web? Also, if you're working in AdobeRGB and then saving for web, it'll be viewed in sRGB which has a narrower gamut. I have problems sometimes with my shot's losng saturation. Converting the shot to sRGB before saving normally helps. Failing that, try just saving as a jpeg and reducing the size manually. Might help?
