Bluray discs

Hi all, just bought a BD writer and now wondering which brand BD write once discs to buy. It will be for archiving/backup of my precious photos.

May I ask what everyone else is using... and where to buy thm..

I don't know about your actual question, but I'd have thought getting external HDD would be a better backup solution in terms of cost effectiveness and the long term reliability than optical media?

I've used Aone 4x Blu-Ray media in my LG writer and out of over a hundred so far I've had only one bad disc. I get them from http://www.totalblankmedia.com/bluray-r-c-93_95.html?osCsid=ioobk3od3k410tjdhufm5ib2t5 and although they are about the cheapest they have I find they do the job excellently. I've got about 25 discs backed up with photos and the rest have had movies copied onto them and I play them in a Panasonic Blu-Ray player as well.
