Having just bought my 1st proper camera (Nikon D200), i really need some help!

I could do with finding a book with guides on taking pictures and what settings to use, i already have the Magic Lantern Guide but would like a book that explains what settings to try when taking certain pictures or in different lighting conditions etc

I still have my camera on P setting but tonight tried to take some pictures in the dark at a xmas carol service in the park near me. i for the 1st time changed the iso settings but think i took it to far as most pictures turned out grainy!!!!

Suppose the learning curve is steep! LOL

Thanks, Jontymo

I printed this out, and found it quite useful.

To be honest once you hit 800 they will have quite a lot of noise, get hold of a copy of Understanding Exposure that is quite a good read, but the best way to learn is getting out there with the camera, the more you play the more you learn.
