Hi
Can someone recommend any book/manual type for the D90. I am waiting for Nikon to re-register my camera so that I can get some downloads, but how long do you have to wait? Was thinking of something like a 'Dummies' book or something a little better.
Appreciate your help/advice

If you Google "Nikon D90 Manual" it will offer you the Nikon USA site from which you can download in PDF form the User Manual. This applies to almost all Nikon equipment.
 
Thanks. but you have to register your equipment/or already be registered to obtain downloads. Nikon are going to re-register my camera, but they have to get permission from the original owner. Then I can download (but 'how long'). Thanks anyway.

If you're looking for something more readable than the Nikon manual I can recommend Thom Hogan's ebook "The Complete Guide To The Nikon D90" and Darrel Young's "Mastering The Nikon D90", which is available in paper and ebook versions.

Both are excellent and explain much more than the official manual.
