The TP52 - 2026 Boots 52 for 2026

Week 34 - Nostalgia

Two contenders from me this week. Both on the nostalgic look of old photos.

My chosen one is a double shot of nostalgia, as I will be able to look back nostalgically on this shot, when they have grubbed out the hedges, uprooted the trees, culverted the stream and levelled the land for the proposed 169 Ha housing estate.

Like the chosen shot Paul, no title needed.

Week 35 - Snapper's Choice

I have rather let myself down, and am somewhat behind. So there will be a bit of a catch up over the next few hours / days.

There may be a bit of a theme to the images! Some shoehorning may be applied. Apologies.

We went on holiday to Portugal - a truly lovely country. This is a typical Portuguese tile picture that caught my eye in São Bento Railway station, but unlike the majority of idyllic rural scenes, this one seemed more appropriate for the location.

Week 36 - One Street, Many Stories

I don't generally do street photography, so this is a bit of a shoehorn. There certainly are lot's of different things going on for the folks that just happen to be in the foreground of the image of a tiled church.

Week 37 - Urban Wildlife & Technique - Black and White

Another shoehorn! But he does look pretty wild to me.

This is the statue of Neptune over a gate at the Pena Palace, Sintra

Week 38 - Portrait Without Showing the Face

My favourite child (*). Will he ever forgive me?

* I do only have the one!

Nice catchup.
The urban wildlife is really spooky, most appropriate to the topic.
The street photo is full of interest, the more you look the more there is to see, really like it for that.

That church is fab. Think snapped it last year - Porto?

Thanks Alan!

Thanks Dave! Yes, it's Porto. There are lots of the tiled churches, some in a better state than others, but that one is very striking.

Good catchup and, as above, interesting looking church. I also have a favourite son and daughter- just the one of each :)

Good catch up. A street with many stories is my favourite, it shows the hustle and bustle and you can imagine everybody has their own story as to why they are on that street, at that time.
