No
I have not as yet done any macro plant or animal photography but hope to try soon.
Are there any good botanical gardens that allow photography and do any have insects or such?
preferably midlands area but will travel for the right place.

Thanks

There's a (probably incomplete) list of botanic gardens in the UK here. You'll need to follow-up with the websites for individual gardens as to what they have and allow as they can establish their own rules regarding tripods, etc.

You might also want to try searches for "winter gardens" (generally big greenhouses) and butterfly parks (awkward time of year for these, won't be much flying).

The University of Leicester Botanical gardens are really nice and not too far from Derby.

Andy

Yeah, I've been to the Leicester one too. Was great fun.

There's also Ness Botanical gardens on the Wirral. I scooted round in about an hour or so but I should have spent longer there. Was lots to see.
