Boudoir photography.

Im really interested in getting into boudoir photography and am doing a course through Aspire in March :)

Was wondering if any of you do this what you favourite lens to use is?

btw im using FF Nikon camera.
 
the thing is 'boudoir' isn't macro or aircraft, there are many different focal lengths you might need.

but like all people photography the tendency is towards short telephoto.

a fast std zoom is a good start, if you've got that already and you want to add a lens, start with an 85mm prime.

But its not really about the lens, it rarely is, unless you're going for one specific optical effect (fisheye, macro, TSE, super-tele etc)

You're booked on a course, go there and listen rather than second guessing before you start.

Am i right in thinking, there Boudoir course is £460 for a day ? if so that sounds like a lot of money for a one day course.

No I paid a lot less than that, im a member of The Guild of Photographers and get a % off but the course is £395 normally but like I said I didnt pay any where near that amount because of the % off plus a book before Xmas special!

I do realise that, I have a fair number of lenses but as going to buy one on my wish list and just wondered what people preferred to shoot with ;)

I took a look at your lens list, I'd recommend an 85mm prime - your choice dependant on budget.
