Bowens 400 d

Hi, quick question- I have been offered a Bowens 400D lighting kit (2 monolights, tripods, brollies, leads and hard carry case) all in good working condition, for £250.

Is this a good price?

Have posted in lighting too but more traffic here and I need to answer by tomorrow.

This sounds like a very good price to me.
If you have any doubts about the performance of the equipment, just ask the seller to take a few snaps for you. If you're giving him 250 queens faces then I think they should happily oblige!

Ah, good plan, will do that, he has emailed me pics of the set upso shouldn't be a problem.

I was concerned about the age, with regards to replacement parts, compatibility with newer add ons etc

Yes, google is my time comsuming friend! It seems there is an adaptor for the L type to S type, so that's not a problem after all. Except that I can't find one for sale anywhere :bang:
