Bowens Gemini 400 in-line flash trigger with D800

Hi Guys,

I have the older Gemini 400 lights and the Bowen's trigger that came with it (The power runs through the receiver and the sync lead plugs in).

When I turn on the power the unit repeatedly keeps firing the flash the red light on the top stays on permanently?
Is there anything on the camera i need to do to set this up or does it sound like a fault with the trigger unit?

Sounds like a fault with the trigger to me

Can you borrow a spare trigger to isolate the issue?

I had Bowens lights at one point and I vaguely remember having to do something to sync the trigger or something similar. I can't for the life of me remember exactly what it was though but if you Google it might give some answers.
