hi i have been offered some lighting equip
i would just like a opinion of what its roughly worth to make sure i dont pay too much

How much are they looking for?
What's the exact model of the lights?
What exactly is included?
 
This should be in the price checks section but to answer your question from what I can see:

GM500R ? £240
GM500 ? £140
Brolly £15
Softbox (if complete) £40
speedring x2, reflector £35
Stands £40
Can't tell what that reflector is but I'd guess £25

So you'd spend £535 buying that all individually assuming it's all in good condition. As a kit I wouldn't want to pay more than £450.

im not sure of what everything is but its all the stuff in the pics excluding the paint lol
he said i can have it all for £400 not sure i need it but if its a good deal will buy it in case i decide i do lol

Have you tried to negotiate a price?

It's a very good price, I didn't even add the cases to the cost and it worked out to £535 if you bought everything separately and there's bound to be a few loose bits which add to the value as well (there's a small folded reflector near the big one too).

Those heads are different though, they're not two 500R's as the grey one is the older Gemini 500.

You need to make sure the heads work correctly though as that's where the money is, fire them at least 10 times each on minimum power, fire a few times at full power, check the sync port and IR receivers are working too as a very simple test.
