BR-5 Angle viewer not sitting still !

I bought this angle viewer, as I find it very useful when shooting matters where my camera needs to be way too low .. the thing is that the viewing tube doesn't stay up right!

Unlike the BR-6, which I used with my D300 / D200 / D70 that was firmly held in place; this one just flops to one side or the other.

I've had a look in the manual to see if there is anyway to fasten it, but there is nothing there to show me how.

I don't think it's supposed to be this floppy .. so I was wondering if anyone has one, knows about this issue and how to resolve it.

Hi Wail,

Hope you are well.

I bought your BR-6 that I use on my D300. I also have the BR-5 that I use on the D3. I have to say I don't have that problem on mine. Doesn't sound right to me.

Chris :)

Hi,

Yes, I recall selling you my BR-6 (which, like everything else I sell, I regret it soon afterwards :p ).

I figured it shouldn't be doing this, and seems as if there is something missing / loose. It does stay in place but is no where as sturdy as the BR-6 I had.

I don't, by any means, imply that the seller sold me something not working fine; since, when I first got it it wasn't this lose .. but it just seems to have lost some tension.

It is the part between the ring that mounts on the camera and on the viewer that's lose, not the part that you view through (which also rotates, but this is working just fine).

Anyone got any ideas as to what may be the problem ?
