BR/Q strap question

Recently bought a BR strap and am really happy with it, but! the one downside i can see is it's time consuming to have to unscrew the connector to mount onto a tripod.
Does anyone use the QR plate from the tripod permanently attached to the camera via the carabina? and is this method safe?
 
I use the fastener that Wuyan linked to with a Manfrotto RC2 plate and leave that on my DSLR permanently.

The loop that the tripod plate is supplied with is not designed to be load bearing. It will possibly break if you hang a camera from it. The BR fastener simply replaces it and is designed to take load.
