Bracken frond

The bracken in my garden is all but dead, but I rescued this very brown frond, stuck it to a window, and turned a macro lens on it to reveal the leaf shape and sporangia.

Nice shot and it shows the sporangia very clearly, great colour too.

Nice shot always thought windows made great light tables...wasnt that their purpose?

Nicely taken, different & interesting shot. One minor niggle for me is the darker leaves to the right of the frame but aside from that, very nicely done

Thanks for the kind comments all - just my modest offering to help help this section live up to its title and stop being Birds & More Birds . Not that I've anything against birds - I've been an RSPB member since 1969!
