Hi im thinking of making a trip to bradgate park tomorrow to get some shots of the deer.

having never been there i do understand its rather large. can anyone tell me where to go i.e what entrance to use?

where about in the park should i go for photos of stags etc?

what time should i go, should i aim to get there for sunrise?

just basically any tips as i have no idea about the place.

thanks,

Lee

hi lee get there early cause if the weather is nice it will get packed and the deer will retreat back into the out of bounds area.

if you get there early try the newtown linford entrance and walk to the ruin thats where the deer will be.

there are refreshments in the park or newtown linford.

not my video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KDpAIhV-I1E

ps might see you there.

i was gunna get there for like just after sunrise does that sound good? now this may be stupid but how do i no which was to go for the ruins? is it obvious? lol

do i just drive towards newtown linford and then i will see signs?

thanks

go to newtown linford and you wont miss it have a look on street view when in the park

follow the tarmac path theres only one and it will take you straight to the ruins study the park on google earth

Ive only been once, but, when I did there was no way of avoiding the deer, they were very tame & everywhere. Seem to remember most were down by the old house ruin & the lake cafe.

I usually park at the top car park where that castle Thimbu is as it's a good photo start point, then head down to the ruins where the deer seem to hang opposite.

When it's busy it's pretty hard to Get a really good shot at times because the deer seem to push back with more people. Early mornings are good, although you'll have to check park access times.
