- I was hoping to get one perched on a branch, but they seem to prefer ground feeding

- I have only ever seen a few over the years Mark, but they have always been on the ground. I'm still hoping for one flying or on a branch.

I'm with Mark but apparently they spend a lot of time with flocks of Chaffinch and we have loads of them, will start to look more closely
