Brass lens aperture ring

This camera was in a seriously poor condition when purchased ...The brasswork was literally black with oxidation.
As can be seen , after many many hours of cleaning, she now looks something like her former self, however the aperture ring on the lens remains stuck at F/10 and will not turn.
Does anyone have any ideas of how I may get it to loosen??
Placing in a vice and turning with mole grips is not an option!! lol

At the risk of sounding facile, have you considered applying the standard engineer's rule?

If it moves and it shouldn't => duct tape
It it doesn't move and it should => WD40

Yes I did consider WD40 but was concerned about making an oily mess of the aperture blades......is WD still the way to go bearing that in mind?
The glassware is removable so that's no problem.

I have no idea tbh...I have never even seen a camera filter wrench, not that I've had a need for one. Possibly might work though. Where will I find a wrench ...local camera shop presumlably??

Does the rule apply to the mrs if she moves/doesn't move??...If so then I need to get stocked up on WD!!! lol

There is a spray that a lift engineer I know uses that is for removing residual oil from metals and plastics so you could use WD. But I'm really sorry because I don't know what it's called or where to get it. Not much help but at least you know there is something out there to do the job.
Your mission should you choose to accept it.....

Mmmm that's interesting as there are many lift engineers around here ...I wonder if they use a simlar product....All I've got to do now is collar one of them!
