Good day all, not been around for a month or two, what with Christmas, computer going on the blink and loosing my metaphorical way in life as happens occasionally, when I get stressed. However, have a new computer, all singing all dancing jobie, with a 22" HP monitor, don't realise what your missing until you get a 22 incher:thumbs:

So, with all my troubles behind me . . . I picked myself up, dusted off and started again. 2009 is going to be my year??? 'don't count the chickens'. I have got myself a new wide angle, 10-20mm Sigma lens, new to me that is but used. Went out yesterday, that was 'brass monkeys', shot off a few to see that it works OK.

These are just poof type pics nothing done in PS, simply to see if the lens in simple auto form works. Even in this basic form, I can see why 'wide angle' is so beguiling. I really feel I've got something to work with for 2009. Press the buttons and see what happens!! :naughty:

Nice set, I really like #1 and the way that the water is making the concrete all slick and shiney in #2. I would be safe in saying that you're pleased with the said new lens?

i got the same monitor as yours at the moment, and factory default, these pictures looks really vivid buddy, very nice :)

i really like #4 try B&W with it as its already fairly monochrome

Loving this shot, (if only the horizon was aligned.. :P)

Second half of 08 was really on the up, only expecting things to rise further through 09.. Optimism is a drug!

Dave,
I apologise for my spelling, I'm dyslexic, dont bother me these days! and the horizon, yes I know, they were test shots, first session out with the lens. There was an East wind blowing, my hands were ice blocks in seconds!!!

But even so I'm pleased you like the picture, was worth getting cold for. ;)

You wait till you get to using the 'HD' CD monitor setup program, its fiddly but very satisfying.

#2 . . . ? I presume you are describing the concret ramp? picture #4 on my screen?
