Managed to capture this little fella over the weekend, I was within about 1.5 metres of him when I took the shot. D300 + 400mm + 1.7x, no crop on image. Iso 1250 unfortunately as the sun was going down at this point

that is a brilliant shot, just a shame you chopped it's tail off - but well done

There is a nice hue to the yellow with the light, have you thought about lightening the right hand side a little?
