I need a bridge camera for less than £140 but need to have its own rechargable battery.....Any Ideas from those with knowledge......:thinking:
 
Something a year or two old that cost more in its day.
If it's a Christmas present, so needs to be brand new, then sorry, but you've no mission of meeting one of those criteria depending which takes priority.
 
as if they were not enough 'which camera should I buy' threads already, we are now getting which camera should my neighbour buy :)
 
Canon G11, Fuji S100 (slightly damaged S200 on ebay currently), Panasonic FZ30 and above - some 3-4 year old models, but were £400-500 when launched/sold.

So, either he's going to have to play with older dogs, up his budget, or suck up having to use and buy rechargeable AAs, of which there are Li-Ion ones.

*FZ45 - £165 Tesco refurb outlet on ebay, 12 month warranty.

Baby steps - maybe a £300 budget for a decent newish bridge zoom (Fuji X-S1? :lol:) will be a useful starting point.
Once he's ready to delve deeper into manual control territory and knows if he needs a zoom lens for wildlife, etc or mainly wide for landscape/portrait/architecture, then he can focus in on what's about that'll fulfil his needs.

At his current budget and battery desire, he'd be better off sticking with his iPhone/Sony Xperia 'droid.
