Bridge/SLR cases with camera resting on lens - safe?

Hi all,

I'm looking for a smallish case for my Lumix FZ1000. A lot of the ones I've seen show the cameras stored inside with the camera lens pointing downwards, presumably to make it easier and faster to remove the camera. With all the camera weight resting on the end of the lens, isn't there a danger of causing damage? Are they ok to buy or is there any caveat with this design?

Cheers :)

Look for one that has shoulders built in to support Camera the body is my advice

Thanks for the replies. I'm still dithering over them . Twist, the one you linked to looks good, but I think it's a bit too big for what I need. I'm only going to use it for my bridge, so won't have lenses with me.

I'm thinking the following one from the US might fit the bill and someone using it with the FZ1000 posted a review...

I like the idea of having a zip and/or quick release clasp too.
