I spent a few hours at Oulton Park this morning, where F3 and GT teams were testing ahead of this weekends meeting. Since I'll be there tomorrow and Monday, I thought I'd try a bit of experimentation and do some things a little differently. As always, C&C welcome and encouraged, particularly on the marmite shots.

Nice set there like the crash set. Missed you around the track hopeful catch you over the weekend.

Thanks for the comments everyone, it's nice to get a second opinion on what works and what doesn't. I'll have another thread up from Saturday and Monday once the weekend has finished. There are 16 cars entered for the GT race, but the Ginetta Zytek was nowhere to be seen today, so it looks like 15 cars.

Really like number 9, "Ive taxed worse I suppose" or "How am I going to explain this?".

Great pictures, really suprised to see young Mr Hill there though as his funding has recently dried up.

You have some great captures of that crash, 14 works well but 13 is not to my taste.

nice diff set there ! :)

well got crash, bet the driver is gutted and the mechanic swinging for him into the early hours of the morning!

the wide pan works for me very well, with a few more cars on track at the same pace should show the speed very well! rock on the races tomorrow! :)

Purpose built race cars like the Dallara are designed to break in certain places to protect other parts. The wishbones will be designed to break before the tub gets damaged. The team will have spare parts and I would expect to see the car back on the track fairly quickly.

Some good pics there Rich,

9: I like, you can feel the emotion even though we cant see his face. Body language speaks loud on that one!

10: I think 10 works. It doesnt suggest that the car is tiny which is good. A nice amount of motion too!

Richard,

The factory Ginetta G50 (not the Zytek one) was not present today either according to the testing times so I guess they decided not to bother with today and will turn up for the practice tomorrow am. The Zytek car has done loads of testing recently so should be damn quick straight out of the box. Ginetta owner Lawrence Tomkinson is driving the GT4 spec G50 as well and I reckon there could be a good scrap in GT4.

See you all tomorrow.

Regards

Tim

Very nice set #2 i agree gorgeous looking car #5 is my favourite love the low angle , also like #10 something different.(y)

Tricky light in the first 2, slightly over exposed with the light reflections, manual exposure or exposure lock would help there, or possible a poloriser filter.

Number 9 diffentally looks as if though his thinking about his budget there .
