Broken lens - shaking internally

I have a Sigma 18-200mm f/3.5 - 6.3 that I've had for a good few years, recently it's started playing up. When I look through the viewfinder, it's clear that something internally is shaking from side to side. It's a small vibration while it's not doing anything, gets very severe when trying to focus, and usually but not always stops when I actually take a photo. Is there any way to fix this or is the lens a goner?

Thanks in advance.

Had something similar with an old sigma lens, unfortunately the cost of repair wasn't economical viable. Depends if you have a good local camera shop that could make a repair assessment on your lens, otherwise you would have to send it away, or google about trying to take it apart and seeing whats come loose or broken inside.

Is this the OS vesion, if so you could try switching the OS off and see if it still shakes.

phone sigma and talk to them, they are in Welwyn Garden, l took a lens in and got an immediate quote.
