Broken Sigma 1.4x TC...? PROBLEM SOLVED, see inside

Anybody ever had their 1.4x TC come loose where it is joined in the middle?

I don't remember knocking it or anything, but when out shooting today I happened to move my monopod and realise the camera was very loose/wobbly on the TC.

The part attached to the lens was solid in the lens, but the other half in the camera was very loose indeed.

Any ideas as to what it may be? Has it totally knackered or can it be fixed?

Gutted as this was my kit for the 100-300mm F4 for nature

I have one thats done the same, Ive since bought another but thought it was strange

I've read somewhere that the Sigmas can fall apart with use, so maybe this is the case?

Bit poor if you ask me, as buying another could possibly yield the same result again!
