Thats pretty cool. I built a home made one for my air rifle scope, with an infra red torch as a light source. Been thinking I should try it on the camera as well somehow.
Thanks David. Its a modified GH4 where the sensor cover has been replaced by clear glass. The correct/desired IR filter is then fitted over the lens. IR lights are those used for counting bats in roosts. The picture shown is a frame grab from a 4k video.

I have some questions
A) So in theory any lens with a IR filter could be used
B) How much are these lights?
C) How difficult is this could I get a filter for a lens and a light and get photos like these of a cat (an easy subject to practice on, although sadly rats might be possible).
D) Could this work for fast moving subjects like bats?
