Does seem a strange first post on a photography forum
Maybe you would be better off trying some of the computer orientated forums for
a more definitive answer ?

( although we do have our share of experts in that filed, but I guess you wouldn't know that)

what anti-virus are you running for starters?

if nothing then download avast (free from www.download.com), also download spybot (also available from download.com). stick them on a USB memory stick or burn them to CD if you have to.

install them on the duff computer (do not install avast if you have current AV software) and do full system scans with each.

Might have been reading the forums for years...

Can't help with trojan but if you can tell us what it's called you may get help.

how do u know u have a trojan?
windows have been issuing updates recently it could be a bad/corrupt update

What browser are you using ? Anyway remove it, download firefox on your laptop then try to install it on your pc. Simple but simplicity sometimes is the solution
