Yes
I've read on a couple of forums that it's possible to plug an External HDD into the USB socket on the Hub and it should appear as a network drive available to all who can access the wireless network.

Have tried it with no joy, if anybody has done it successfully any advice would be very much appreciated.

I think it depends on the type of hub, some hubs have a USB socket which if for connecting the PC to the hub, for the internet connection.
What model is it?

Sorry, it's a quite new (within 12 months old) BT HomeHub 2.

Don't apologise Pete, if I had read the title...it says homehub there:bonk:

The link I provided has some info for the hub

Paul

It was a valid question Paul, as there are earlier versions of the BT HomeHub, and thanks for that link, I'll work through that.

I tried this once and it fried one of my 2.5" portables. If you are in need of network storage, i would recommend purchasing a dedicated NAS drive.

I've done this, it has to be fat 32, we tried it with a usb stick first

Thanks Michael, there was also some information in that link posted by Paul that alluded to that too.

Think I'll give this a swerve.

Thanks all for replying.

Pete.
