First car meet of the year for me after waiting a while for the gates to finally open for Southbank parking I headed to Druids only to find my favorite spot fenced off for a TV camera but once I realised it was not being used for first practice session I managed to move the surrounding fence and using my trusty blue stall I could straddle the fence one leg on the stall the other on the scaffolding and with a bit of a lean I could get those lovely morning shots of the cars climbing the hill to Druids with the colours of the cars and the shadows from the trees and footbridge made for some great shots.
Then I headed to the inside of Druids for some pans but never stayed long as seem to be struggling panning wise this year I cannot seem to hold a steady pan maybe I am having a panning breakdown
lol I then headed to McLaren to catch the cars climbing the hill followed by a stint at Clearways for some head on shots of the cars climbing the hill from Surtees that was followed by Quali where I started in the same spot moving around to the exit of Clarke Curve catching them heading onto the main straight as the light faded the rain arrived and the headlights came on this was followed by a spirited drive home for a cool beer and a curry
