Buachaille Etive Mor | Behind the scenes... kinda.

Nice to see that big lump of rock. I was there a few weeks ago but it was looking fairly drab, with next to no light or colour and the smaller waterfall was just a trickle.

I like the first shot, although I think the better composition is a little more to the right, a bit lower down, involving more of the pool and clearing the tree of the mountain. That said, when I was there, it's not a spot I'd have liked to have stood, it was very claggy. The mountain works well with a dusting of snow like that. (y)

The second image is a very interesting take. :)

Re 1. Its a bit messy. It is a very hard shot to do well because of all the clutter. Personally I prefer to shoot portrait and have less FG and stuff to the side. I feel here the mountain is a bit off to the left and if you did a square crop it might sit better. As I say, a hard shot to take

2. I think is a clever take on a very done location.

I like the first image, clever second :)

Cheers, guys. Just messing about. I'm a full-time shooter but I like to head to the hills and shoot what takes my fancy just for the fun of it.
