Whilst out in the dark this morning waiting for the sunrise, I tried taking some long exposure images in the moonlight. I set the camera to Manual, set the aperture, and set shutter speed to Bulb on my 40D.
However, the camera would only take 1 second exposures using the remote. I slid the button to lock the shutter, but I could hear it open and close again. Oddly, the review of the image would not appear on the LCD until I unlocked the remote release button.
Is there some sort of setting that I've missed preventing me from locking the shutter open for extended periods? I was able to set the exposure to 30 seconds in the camera, but that's the longest I could do.
Anyone had similar problems?
Cheers,
Mark
