Business broadband recommendation

I'm moving office shortly and wondered if anyone can recommend a broadband supplier that can offer a good, fast and reliable service to compare with bt's offering. I currently use bt and sure I can get better value for my spondoolicks. £30 / month or thereabouts.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Over our client range we have three ISPs that we usually use. Kingston (was Mistral), Zen Internet and Fastnet. We have Fastnet bonded ADSL here in the office too and it is a very good service. The technical support is reasonable, not a call centre as far as I know. Kingston provide a decent service and their tech support a helpful. My experience of Zen technical support isn't so great, with them asking you three million times 'have you unplugged this, have you done that, have you plugged the wire into your ear while placing one finger up your butt' etc and usually ends up in us getting nowhere.

BT business seem to be on the rapid improvement recently as well and faffing about with them is quite minimal compared to just a year or two ago.

Just be aware that if BT own the infrastructure of company A B or C that you decide to go for, your speeds and reliability might not be any better, it just means that you don't end up dealing with BT direct.

if you can get it, and just need a simpler line, no bonding etc, bethere.co.uk are fantastic, blazing speeds, and their pro bundle is meant to have good 24/7 support :)

Zen are pretty spot on but not the cheapest. I was with BT business but when they got a pain in the ass with usage limits and caping speeds during the day it became un usable especially for VPN and remote access.

I deceided to move away from BT for the first time since I first got a modem back in 1996 and went over to BE there and since then been working perfectly as it should be with no limits or caps and Im saveing a few quid a month. only had 1 problem and that was the router crapped out on me during a reboot but they sent me a replacement within 24 hours.

Andrews and Arnold. They are a proper ISP run by nerds, for nerds that wont tell you to reboot your computer unless your computer actually needs to be rebooted. Which is why I use them for my home connection, even though they are ostensibly a business ISP.

Have a read of this, it's quite enlightening about the BT 21CN (used by all ISPs that are not using unbundled lines): http://status.aaisp.net.uk/?incident=319

If you are moving office shortly and might consider using BT then please take a look at my youtube video - done out of total frustration with BT.

They have still not fixed everything up yet and I continue to be driven spare. I might also have lost some customers due to a non-functioning line but I will never know.

I've had issues in the past also. The last time I moved I was without broadband for 5 days and being someone who designs websites that really was an issue. They made no apologies and I think we maybe ended up with a teeny tiny credit.

However, once I was hooked up its been running well.

I called 'bethere' just a few mins ago and it sounded like they use an offshore call centre (but I could be wrong about that!)... The prices are indeed good and it sounds like they have a good service. They tell me I can get an 18Mb connection even though BT told me earlier that my line currently won't support more than 8Mb and most likely much less - hmmm, :suspect:...
