Buttercup Field

Hi,

I saw this field a couple of days ago so decided to head back one morning and try and capture the 'yellow'. I tried a few compositions but struggled to see a good shot.... Do these work? C&C please

P.S The field was on a slope and I used a spirit level to get the camera level, should I have just tried to make the horizon straight instead?

Nice shots - your p.s about the horizon says what I was thinking though..........but I could be wrong........

The blues, yellows and greens all work well together

For me, #1 is the pick as there is a good sense of depth to the shot as you seem to have taken it from a lower viewpoint to get more detail into the foreground interest. For me, the composition is the strongest in this one

There nothing nicer then a meadow full to brimming with buttercups IMO, lovely shots

#1 for me too - very good mix of colours, and well composed. Maybe try a horizon straighten, though, as the eye falls away to the right quite quickly down the slope.

Very nice! I might try cropping out the sky in the top one, just below the top of the trees, it really brings the eye to the buttercups. Well spotted!
