OK another numpty question, ordering from DR a 7D, am I going to have extra import/custom charges?
 
Where did you buy it, Ebay or thier site?
 
All taxes paid from thier site I believe. If you do get charged, they refund you in full.
 
order it, fantastic service....just had the D7000 from them ,with no problems, it was well packed, tracked all the way from HK, in-fact it was only delayed with the courier this side...
two days from Hk to UK...three days from warehouse to me 60 miles away :thinking:...no problems with customs ,if you buy from this site, its all sorted...mark.
 
I bough my 7d from them. It came very quickly and well wrapped. I would have mo problem ordering from them again

have a look in the sponsors section or lots of discussion on this including a sticky from digital rev about the import charges.

I just received my 7D (plus a few other bits) from them no problem with taxes or delivery timings.
 
I would have thought Kerso would have been the better option due to warranty issues?
 
what are the 'warranty issues'?
another FAQ in the digirev section in here talks about the warranties - which are handled by Digirev themselves.

Kerso's are Grey imports too aren't they (america??), so not sure why this might be a better option? (genuine question not being facetious :) )
 
Digital Rev do their own warranty, Kerso is Canon UK.

Don't think Kerso's ar grey imports.

Drop him a PM and he'll explain, better from the horses mouth and all that.
 
If Kerso does import from the US, his Canon cameras wont be UK models. For example, a 450D will be a Rebel XSi, not sure if the same applies to xxD. If that's not an issue with a purchaser, that's fine.

Only true if he imports grey imports, not if they are parallel imports. :)
 
Didn't know about this site and so had a look to see if they have the new Canon 70-300L. They do but I also noticed that amongst their "value packs" they offer the 70-300L with both the Canon 1.4X and 2.0X extenders whereas I've read that this lens is not compatible with the extenders? :shrug:
 
When I asked kerso last time he said my lens warranty is from the manufacturer itself. His prices are a bit more expensive than what I can get with onestop-digital, but I figured the "original" warranty is well worth paying than the Mack warranty given by the hongkong sellers.

I am sure its compatible you just loose autofucus
 
Thanks everybody, have placed my order so will let you know, just have to be patient for it to arrive...No chance will be like a cat on a hot tin roof
