Buying a camera in Hong Kong, is it cheaper than the UK?

Hi i am currently working in China and fly out of Hong Kong, i have yet to do any shopping in Hong Kong but does anyone know if buying a camera from a big store inHong Kong would be cheaper than buying from the UK?

Probably but you'll need to pay the tax/duty on it on returning to the UK :thumbs: plus you'll find you'll likely have warranty issues should your purchase develop a fault
 
Definitely check local prices against HDEW/Panamoz in the UK, they sell imported stock but with local seller warranties, which is better than having to send something back to HK in the case of a fault. If there's not much difference you're probably better off buying from them.

While HDEW is located in the UK, Panamoz is not, and has all the cons you mention of dealing with an HK retailer.
