Im over in the states and am looking at the Canon VIXIA HF M32, its an HD video camera and a lot cheaper here than in the UK. The only thing im wondering about is the old NTSC and PAL issues. Does this even matter and more, HD is HD right? and even if I do SD it has to go into Premiere and then I can output it to Pal anyway.

Some advice would be great, many thanks

NTSC cameras have a different frame rate 29.97 vs 25 so I wouldn't bother tbh. Unless you go for something higher end that allows you to switch the frame rates. JVC HM100E is nice if you can stretch to it.

I was looking for something a little smaller than that, maybe one of the Canon HF- series possible M32

They shoot 24p but in a 60i stream. So long as you are aware of that & you are happy with it then the small Canons look quite good on paper. I've not used them myself yet.
