Yes
Not sure whether this is best here, or in the suppliers section (which seems to be mainly full of recommendations of prior suppliers)

Can anybody recommend a cheap place to get inks for this printer from? Pixma Pro 9500 II takes the PGI-9 range of inks (yes, I know it isn't a cheap printer).

Delivery time is not a problem, as I intend on keeping a set of spares, so basis of choosing would be
Product is in date
Original product guaranteed
Price
Reliability of delivery (not speed, but it should at least arrive in 4 weeks)

Although there appear to be a few places with compatible inks in this range, I am very wary now of this, and want to run a few cartridges through with real ink first. (I have found that the magenta on my i560 is leaking into my yellow, and ruined a real Canon yellow cart).
Many thanks,

Edit:
Ok, really didn't intend on advertising, so am not including a link, have found a place which will do the set (of 10) for ~£92 delivered this seems to be in the ball-park of when I looked as I bought the printer (may ~£5 dearer) (darned VAT increase), can anyone suggest a better deal?

I have got a 9500 recently not the mkII one but it uses the same inks. There as far as i can tell are no compatible carts or CIS systems for the printer in this country.

I got the carts i am using from 7day shop about £7-8 each depending on colour..!

Free delivery, i think they do a set there and on Amazon for about £80 for the lot.

If you find a CIS supplier for this printer please let me know.

Mac

Thanks, I wasn't specifically looking for CIS yet.
I believe that goinks does compatible cartridges for the PGI-9, with the chips in them as well. Haven't tried them though, and not seen any reviews.

I will look at the 7day shop stuff. I thought that Amazon was where I saw a cheap bundle, but couldn't find it today (perhaps VAT has beaten me to it!)

Those inks from goinks look like the same make as the ones I brought in from america last year, I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole, some of them had leaked and because of that I was reluctant to use the ones that hadn't. and odly the place I got them from have withdrawn them.
Apart from that I use to get mine from 7dayshop who were the cheapest.
there is another option if you look on alibaba.com ( I think it was there or madeinchina.com) there is a firm doing refillable cartridges and a chip resetter, although I debated that the chip resetter would actually work for the 9500, unfortunately I dont have thier email address anymore, and then you can import bulk inks for the printer from http://www.image-specialists.com/ when I was looking into it I was dealing with Joseph Costello

Half Price Complete ink set for the Pro 9000 II
We'd also like to take this opportunity to let you know we're currently offering the Complete Pro 9000 II CLI-8 Ink set for only £53.96.
To take advantage of this great offer, simply add the complete ink set to your basket as normal, and use the code WEX50INK in the checkout. Voucher code Terms and Conditions apply and the offer ends on the 28th Feb. You can only use one voucher per order, so before you go off and buy it, we're also offering 10% off Selected Canon Photo Papers
.

Received this in an email from Warehouse Express. Not sure whether it extends to the 9500, but the price beats that of 7dayshop.

Thanks, that removes £70 off of the order price for the 9500 set! Brings it down to £75 delivered.
Thanks
