I have been learning to take portraits recently - I am a complete novice. I have been doing this mostly outside and as it has been sunny I have had the problems with shadows. I have been using my flash but I want to get a reflector now as it seems these are commonly used items.

It looks like all the ones I can find on Ebay are all meant to be hand-held. This is a bit of a problem as it would mean taking an extra pair of hands with me - is this what most photogrpahers do? I mean I could hold it myself and fire the cam with my remote but I don't think this is ideal. Are there reflectors that come with a stand? I presume they would be very prone to being blown over.

I have seen this one on ebay - item number 300413373710 Would this be a good first reflector for a novice?

reflectors are great tools and there are hundreds of 5-in-1 reflectors on ebay.

the stand issue has been sorted by lastolite who make and supply a reflector stand but i don't know how much it is, alternatively get a light stand, a cheap clamp and attach a reflector that way.
