Cable for Sigma USB Dock

I've just received a Sigma USB Lens Dock but it was provided without the USB cable. Does anyone that has one of these docks know what cable I need? Is there a part number I can search for on eBay?

Based on the photo of a mini USB from eBay it looks different. The connection in the dock is a rectagle with 2 corners cut off. The mini USB has 'sticky outy bits' to use the technical term

Is it a micro-usb, rather than a mini?

Nope, it's not micro either. I have a micro USB for my phone and that's different again. There must be a name for it, I just don't know what it is. So frustrating because I was looking forward to testing my lenses with the dock.

Hmmmm. Good point. Did you know it didn't come with a cable?

No I didn't but I've just checked the ebay description and it made no mention of the cable being with it. Stupid mistake but I'm assuming once I find out what the cable is called it will only cost a couple of quid to buy one.

Appears it's a 'Mini-ab' receptacle, and will accept either Mini-a or Mini-b cables.

Who knew there were so many flipping usb cables?!

This is up there with the screen protector chat on the D750 thread, in terms of interesting-ness

Ahhhhhhh I've finally found it. Thanks for your help eveyone, there certainly are too many different types is USB connection.

It turns out it's a UC-E6 connection which according to eBay is a common connection for Nikon Coolpix cameras. No good for a Canon shooter.

Well I've finally found it and spent my £1.99 on eBay. Thanks again and I hope this thread helps anyone else that needs a cable for their dock.
