Morning All,

Off to Cadwell Park tomorrow and Monday for the British Superbikes meeting.

Never been to Cadwell Park before, and was wondering if anyone had any tips of the best places to shoot on the circuit?

From having a look on the net, the mountain section looks good for bikes off the ground shots, but don't really wanna be stood there for two days lol.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance peeps

Liam

the chicane before the bottom of the mountains good for shots looking down on the riders,if you have a long lens you can get them coming over the mountain from the platform in front of the cafe but the classic airborne shot you see in the magazines isnt possible as you need a media pass to get to where its taken from. You can get some good overtaking shots at the end of park straight and into mansfield as well. hall bends is ok but youve got to be quick.you should be ok tomorrow(practice and qualifying) but monday (race day) theres usually too many people there to get anywhere near the track for shots.

Phoned an old chap I'd helped the other day (who happens to use Cadwell Park as his password...) and he mentioned Barn Corner, Charlie's Bend, Park Corner and the Gooseneck.

There is no public access from just before the hairpin through Barn corner to just before the startline, but at any other meeting I would say you could get some good shots from almost anywhere at Cadwell. For a BSB meeting you are limited by where you can actually get to, as everybody else wants to try and get their best shots as well.

Thanks peeps. Will try them out and hopefully have something to show next week.

My one tip for you is to make sure you aren't shooting into the sun and don't stand in the same place all day shooting the same shot.

See you there maybe, look out for my silly hat :D
