Has anyone had experience of calibrating the U2410 with eye 1 display 2? Mine arrives tomorrow and the first thing I will do is calibration - what is the best starting point, one of the preset modes I guess. An info will be welcome.

Yes! Switch it on and leave it running a picture for an hour.

Put it into sRGB mode (from memory, I'm 8000 miles from my monitor at the mo!) and then run the calibration wizard. In the options select the most detailed setting and just let it run.

I found my sRGB was near enough spot on, but I do have 2x U2410s next to each other and there was a slight colour difference noticeable that the calibration sorted out.

I use xcalib to load the resulting file. Even in Win7 I can't seem to get the colour management system working properly on my dual monitor setup :(

Thanks for the feedback guys.
Andy: when you run the calibration wizard from sRGB am I right in thinking that you have to choose the 'pre set' option as opposed to RGB - from what I have been reading you have to be in custom mode to be able to access/change the RGB values.

Yes. Just let it calibrate your monitor as it is set. You don't change anything (apart from brightness/contrast). When it calibrates, it writes out a matrix which remaps the colours correctly so that you don't have to change the RGB settings on the monitor.

On the U2410, it isn't a big difference, but it does just snap the colours into place so is worth it (especially if you have 2 side by side...)

Just an update guys - got the 2410 up and running yesterday and Calibrated with i12. Looking good to me. Having come from a 17" CRT to a 24" 1920 x 1200 wide gamut monitor it is a all new ball game. I must say the U2410 has exceeded my expectations. Thanks again for your help
