Calibration Tools.

I'm currently running a Radeon 9250 and have tried to use the basic Huey calibration tool, but with ATI catalyst control running the Huey renders everything with a green tinge after calibration. As a basic tool it also doesn't control gamma, contrast and brightness, which is key for me.

Can somebody recommend a tool that'll fully calibrate my monitor with this card, please? Also will it be compatible with my Mac as well?

my spyder 3 pro doesnt seem to mind the catalyst running..

Thanks, Neil. That was the one i was looking at. Does it calibrate brightness, contrast and gamma?

I have the Spyder 3 Pro and you have to set default brightness, contrast and gamma and colour temp on your monitor first.

Dean, my machines use ATI Radeon. I use Spyder with no problems.

Only problem I had was when I upgraded to Windows 7 - but a download of the latest Spyder software sorted that.

I've just got hold of a S/H SpyderPro. When I set monitor to factory default and calibrate the screen looks far to dark. Tried it several times now but always the same, any ideas?

Graham, does it look dark in comparison to your old settings? I aks because my monitor was WAY too bright and toning it down looked very dark to begin with too.

did you do the initial screen set up to the letter? there are a few steps that have you set the contrast etc to points where you can see differences in greyscale etc

Tried using PhotoCal but seem to have a slight tint to the greys. I then used Optical in standard mode as recommended for LCD monitors. Both donot look right when I check with colour chart. Best was Optical in standard but had to lighten slightly.I tried that many times I now cannot remember what it looked like prior to re calibration! I'm also wondering if my monitor is starting to play up too!
