I have just going through a few more Whipsnade shots
and this caught my eye

Falconry birds have 3 main weights
Hunting weight :- will actively hunt
Response weight :- will re-act to the falconer and any opportune quarry
that happens to be close by.
Fat weight :- sod off I'm stuffed and not moving an inch

This however could have been an embarrassing moment that passed without
incident

Assume you mean cos it's at Response Weight Chris... ... but, notwithstanding their laid back attitude, surely they'd be far too big and feisty for it even at Hunting... :shrug:

Ven, Patagonian Mara, are fairly timid, small dog sized, Cavies. ( guinea pigs)
And yep the Eagle had to be at "response weight"
