Calling all 5D owners

I'm thinking about a first generation 5D to attach my 17-40L to and leave as my wide angle camera. My question is, does the lack of in camera sensor cleaning mean that the sensor retains more dust and needs a wet clean more often than a camera with sensor cleaning? Of course if the sensor is sparkling in the first place and I'm not changing lenses this may be a non issue. Thanks for looking and for any advice.

The 5D classic has a reputation for dust and mine did seem to have a fair bit BUT only if changing lenses all the time and not taking precautions.
If you are not changing lenses then there is no reason why you should ever have any dust problems so make sure it is clean to start with !

Thanks for that, I thought I'd read somewhere they could be a little dusty, but as you say no problem if left with a lens attached.
