Calling all D300/300s users

Budget wise I chose the Tamron 90mm, the rest are in my signature.(which doesn't show if you post is too short)

I currently use Nikon 60mm and 105mm Micro lenses and they are suberb.

I'm now looking at getting a 200mm one

This image was with the 60mm

Sorry I couldnt remove the watermark but it'll give you the idea.

The snake is an Ornate Cantil, venomous and irritable.

I am interested in purchasing a Macro lens, which will probably be the Nikkor 105. However just as a matter of interest what do you all use? Not just macro but your entire lens collection.

For Butterflies and Dragonflies I use either the 300 f4 AF-S or the 200-400 f4 VR, depends which one is on the camera. Reason is that I can get a frame filling shot 5 - 6 feet away from the subject.

I have the 105 VR which is a sharp lens, but I would need to get much closer to theses subjects, which would spook them. Ideal for bugs and plants though, and doubles as a sharp short telephoto.

My lens line up is listed in my camera bag.

Use them all
