Calling all nikkor 105mm macro vr2 lens owners...

Hey,
I've been looking to buy this lens for a while now, but recently read a review on it which was all good, however the sample photos seemed to show alot of purple fringing. Is this a common problem with this lens? As the sample fotos from the sigma 150mm were perfect.

I have the 105mm VR 2.8 Nikkor. I have never seen the purple fringing on mine. Its a first class lens I use mine for wildlife (insects / plants) and a bit of portrait stuff.
