Hi Guys, I can't seem to get my D300 into 8fps!

Cl set to 6fps for audiable comparison.
Official MB-D10 attached with 8xAA batteries.

Shooting Mode : CH
D-Lighting : Off
ISO : 400
AF-Mode : S
AF Point Selection : Single
Image Mode : Jpg- L-Fine
Mode: Manual 1/44 F/2.8
Lens: Nikkor 17-55 F/2.8

The best I can get from it is 6fps - this makes me a sad togger. Anyone got any idea what I might be doing wrong?

That won't be the reason.

EN-EL4a/EN-EL4 and AA batteries support higher frame advance rates (8 Frames per second in the D700 & D300) than the EN-EL3e

Ok, I've sorted it out!

I erm, had the batteries in wrong - the battery grip still provided power (oddly enough) but yes, completely my fault - I feel like such a numpty!

:exit:

AA batteries seem to have given up working in my MB-D10 these days. Can't explain it. I've tried a number of different AAs but it just doesn't register with the camera that there's any power coming from it. Well annoying and I can't see what is up with the battery holder that might be causing it.
